Single Dental Implant

A single dental implant can be generally replaced for a single missing tooth space. It not only provides a secure replacement, but also a functional option allowing you to eat, smile and laugh with confidence.

The procedure involves replacement of single tooth root with a titanium implant placed into the jaw. This can be done if there is an existent space or to replace a diseased tooth.

The implant will need three to six months to heal and integrate with your jaw bone to provide a solid support for the replacement crown. During this time, a temporary crown is usually fitted at the same time as your implant placement.

Once the implant is integrated and your jaw has healed, a superstructure called an abutment will be fixed to the implant to hold your replacement tooth (crown).
